In December, I took a break from studying for finals, making millions of mugs in the pottery studio, and carving linolium to see the band, Mothers, at the Caledonia Lounge. I learned that the lead singer majored in Printmaking at UGA and I was taking my first printmaking class at UGA at the time. It's so cool to see someone who used to be working in the same classroom as me up on a stage creating something that is bringing a whole room of people together. People were swaying and singing along to her art. It's so inspiring to me and I always find it interesting when someone does multiple creative things. I love to look at their work and see how they are connected. This band has found a way to beautifully describe some of the sadness and truths of life in an intersting way. I really enjoyed their set and photographing them. It was hard to move around and get different shots in the Caledonia Lounge because the room was so full but I managed to get a few great shots. I hope you enjoy these photos and I'll be posting some more concert photos soon!
-Love, Ashley
